REMINDER - Pink Shirt Day tomorrow, Friday 16th May
Get ready to wear your brightest pink – Casual Clothes Day is happening tomorrow, Friday 16th May in support of Pink Shirt Day!
Students are encouraged to swap their uniforms for fun, casual outfits – and of course, PINK is the colour of the day! Let’s fill the school with positive vibes and show our support for kindness, inclusion, and standing up to bullying.
There's no gold coin donation required, but if you’d like to contribute, you’re welcome to do so via our fundraising page:

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
We are currently experiencing an outbreak of headlice amongst our learners at Matangi School. We ask all parents/caregivers to check their child/ren for signs of lice and eggs. Your child/ren may not be itching, but there may still be headlice and/or eggs present, so please check your child daily even with the absence of itching.
Check around the hairline, back of the neck, behind the ears and on the crown. Use a fine tooth comb on wet hair to find lice, and brush every night. If eggs or lice are present, treatment options are available from your pharmacist.
If you are unable to access treatment please contact our Public Health Nurse for assistance. Some treatments recommend application 7-10 days apart, however the Public Health Nurse now recommends treatment be applied 3 days apart to prevent the cycle recurring.
Thank you for your support with this issue, we all need to work together to eradicate this persistent problem.
