Mātangi Garden Share Stand – Take what you need, Share what you can
If you have some extra fruit, veg, plants or seeds that you would like to give away the perfect spot is now available at the Mātangi School. And if you see some produce, plants or seeds at this beautiful creation, that you can use, please take them and enjoy.
The Mātangi Garden Club made a donation to the Mātangi Community Committee to create a community produce share stand. Building materials were donated by Catherine Lang and purchased with the Garden club funds. Volunteer expertise enabled it to be made - built by community member, Brian Bowell, with sign writing by Colin Gibbs.
The stand is looked after by the school students as part of their enviro schools learning. It is great to see this connection between community and school for eveyone's benefit acknowledged at the recent launch
Please spread the word to others, and contribute surplus fruit, vegetables, plants and seeds from your garden, when you can. Take what you need, share what you can.
